Do you need council permission for a large garden shed?

Whilst most of our DIY Garden Sheds shouldn’t need permission to be built, it is best to check your local council guidelines before purchasing a large shed. Different states have different rules: for example, in Victoria, you do not need council permission if the shed has a floor area of less than 10m², whilst in NSW, the floor area limit goes up to 20m².
