What’s the weather like?

Shed assembly is easiest on a calm, clear day. Strong winds can make handling panels difficult and even risky, so it’s best to wait for ideal weather conditions – sunny and still.

Four hands are better than two!

While smaller sheds can be assembled solo, having a couple of mates or family members around can make a huge difference especially when lifting walls and securing the roof on larger shed models like Workshops or Garage Sheds.

Essential Tools for the Job

Don’t worry, you won’t need the full Milwaukee set.

Here are the key items for shed assembly:

Safety knife – Safely cut open the packaging in a neat way.
Measuring tape – Always double-check your measurements before drilling. Measure twice, drill once!
Protective gloves & safety glass – Safety first! These are essential for keeping your hands and eyes safe while working with metal sheeting and power tools.
Workbench or saw horses – These provide a steady surface to support panels during assembly, makes drilling easier.
Step ladder – Helps you reach higher sections, particularly when installing the roof.
String line or chalk line – Useful for maintaining straight alignments when positioning your shed and placing screws.

Power Tools to Make Things Easier

Cordless drill with drill bits – You'll need a 3mm and 10mm steel drill bit for general assembly and a 10mm masonry drill bit if securing your shed to concrete.
Screws or rivets – Your Easyshed kit includes screws for fast and efficient assembly. Pop rivets are also included for hinged door models, and can be a good alternative to screws too. Have a rivet gun handy if you’re choosing the latter.

Extras for Customisation

Tin snips or an angle grinder – Handy if you’re installing a louvre window kit and need to trim panels.
Power/hand saws – Flooring systems can be added to your Easyshed separately. When cutting these to size, you can use various power saws, jig jaws, and even a hand saw.
